Patient Education

http://www.selfhelpguide.nhs.uk/
http://www.patient.co.uk/
These are the two links to two very good sites. Although they are supposed to educate the patients even we doctors can learn a thing or two.
The best part is it can give you an idea what information to give to your patients and in which form.

Can Anybody maintain this Sewer Line?

A Sewer Line was getting repeatedly choked. Despite best efforts the line could not be cleared. After estimating the approximate location, the HI decided to open up the patient (not laprotomy, it is called 'टांकी लगना'). After much huffing and puffing this is what he stumbled upon. Some Innovative Engineer had put a 2" pipe within a 4" pipe. Apparently the line had collapsed in the past and to get the line flowing this pipe had been passed.

This happens only in India!!
